How to Check Usage
Keeping track of your data usage while travelling helps you avoid running out at an inconvenient moment. Here are the ways you can monitor how much data you have left on your Simply eSIMS plan.
Method 1: Check on Your Device (iOS)
On an iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular. Under your eSIM plan, you will see a "Current Period" data usage figure. Note that this shows total data used since the counter was last reset — it is not a live reading of your remaining allowance, but it gives you a useful indication of how much you have consumed.
Method 2: Check on Your Device (Android)
On Android, go to Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs and select your eSIM. You will find data usage details there. The exact path may vary slightly depending on your device manufacturer and Android version.
Method 3: Simply eSIMS App
The easiest way to check your exact remaining data balance is through the Simply eSIMS app. After logging in, navigate to your active plans section. You will see your remaining data, validity period, and usage history displayed clearly.
Tips for Managing Data Usage
- Download maps, music, and videos over Wi-Fi before heading out for the day.
- Disable automatic app updates and cloud backup over cellular data.
- Use Wi-Fi whenever it is available to conserve your eSIM data.
- Turn off background app refresh for apps you do not need while travelling.
