Everything you need to know about using your Simply eSIMS plan in Martinique.
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your device that lets you connect to local mobile networks without a physical SIM card. Once you purchase a Simply eSIMS plan, you receive a QR code by email. Scan it in your device settings to install the eSIM profile and get instant data access — no SIM swapping required.
After purchase, check your email for a QR code from Simply eSIMS. On your device, go to Settings > Mobile Data (or Cellular on iOS) > Add eSIM, then choose Scan QR Code. Installation takes under a minute. We recommend installing at home before you travel so you can confirm it is working before you depart.
Most modern smartphones support eSIM, including iPhone XS and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, and many other Android devices. Your device must also be carrier-unlocked. To confirm your specific model, check Settings for an 'Add eSIM' option or use our compatibility checker at simplyesims.com/esim-compatibility-checker/. Compatible devices include iPhone XS and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, and Google Pixel 3 and later. Your device must be carrier-unlocked. Yes. Simply eSIMS plans are data-only, so your regular phone number stays fully active for calls and texts on your primary SIM. You can run both SIMs simultaneously — use your home number for calls and the eSIM for mobile data. WhatsApp, iMessage, and FaceTime all work over the eSIM data connection.
When your data allowance is used up, the eSIM stops providing internet access. Your voice and text on your primary SIM are unaffected. Depending on your plan, you may be able to purchase a top-up from your Simply eSIMS account. Alternatively, you can buy a new eSIM plan for the same destination.
Yes. We offer refunds for eSIMs that have not been installed or activated on any device. Once an eSIM profile has been scanned and installed, it cannot be refunded as the QR code becomes single-use. If you have not yet installed your eSIM and would like a refund, contact support@simplyesims.com with your order number.
Yes. Once you have installed your Simply eSIMS plan and arrived in Martinique, go to Settings > Mobile Data, select your Simply eSIMS plan, and toggle on Data Roaming. This is required for your eSIM to connect to local networks abroad. Without enabling Data Roaming, your eSIM will show as connected in settings but will not deliver internet access.
